			      Experience the beauty and excitement of The Nutcracker, by Tchaikovsky,  
				  as the Ballet Chicago Studio Company joins the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra 
				  in a performance of this traditional holiday favorite.  
				  Directed by Patricia Blair and Artistic Director Daniel Duell, 
				  this story tells the tale of young Marie who dreams that her holiday gift, 
				  a Nutcracker doll, comes to life and leads her on a magical journey 
				  to the Land of Snow and Kingdom of the Sweets.  
				  This beloved tale has been captivating children and adults alike 
				  for more than a century.</p>
			<p>About the Company . . .
			      The Ballet Chicago Studio Company now enjoys a reputation 
				  as one of the most respected performance training programs in the country.  
				  Through a special arrangement with the George Balanchine Trust, 
				  the Ballet Chicago Studio Company performs extensive Balanchine repertoire, 
				  as well as existing and new works of Artistic Director Daniel Duell, 
				  guest choreographers, and excerpts from ballet's treasured full-length classics.  
				  Since its inception in 1997, 
				  the Ballet Chicago Studio Company has presented or appeared 
				  in over 300 performances throughout the Chicago area and beyond. </p>
